Late Dr.Gurupappappa Nagamarappalli was one who utilized the cooperative sector most successfully and exemplarily for the development of farmers. He had built cooperatives under his leadership with an effort to implement new ideas, programs and projects. This is why he succeeded in every task.

DCC Bank of Bidar, led by the late Shri Nagamarappalli, has grown the Self-Help-Groups movement into a model in the country. The strength of DCC bank also aided when Shri Nagamarapalli set out to build Naranja sugar cooperative.

Saharda Training Institute for training SHGs, Sharada R Seti organizations for training the unemployed for self-employment have witnessed the vision of Late NagamarapalliJi.

NagamarappalliJi had the experience of using the cooperative sector for the development of agriculture and agri-related fields effectively. He was also successful in this work. With the same experience and success, when he came forward to build a cooperative hospital, people were delighted. NagamarapalliJi was known for his mastery in completing the tasks successfully. The farmers of the district helped in implementing the idea of Nagamarapalliji by purchasing shares of the first-ever cooperative hospital.

The social concerns of Shri Guruparappa Nagamarapalli were well known to the farmers and the general public of the district. They had faith in his leadership. The people knew that NagamarappalliJi was one of them who had the capability and strength to put new ideas into action. 

On Thursday, November 11, 2010, on the occasion of completing his 25 years as DCC Bank Chairman, Nagamarappalli had announced the opening of a state-of-theart cooperative hospital. It would be the first hospital in the State to be opened as a cooperative hospital.
