The Land in the name of the Hospital
70.18-acre land in Honnikeri village in BidarBhalki road has been purchased at a cost of Rs 4 crore which was in various survey numbers. The land was purchased by the late Dr.GurupadappaNagamarappalli with the vision of establishing a medical college and other related institutes.
All these were agricultural land and required government permission. The state government had been requested to approve to build Dr.GuruparappaNagamarappalli Multi-Super Specialty Hospital and Research Center in the land.
Permission was sought under Section 109 (91A) of the Karnataka Land Reform Act, 1961. The District Collector had recommended the same to the government.
The State Government reviewed the proposal of the District Collector, as it had met the provisions of Article 109 (1A) of the Karnataka Land Reform Act 1961 and the Karnataka Land Reform Act, Rule 38-B of 1974, exempting Clauses 63, 79A, 79B and 80 of the Karnataka Land Reform Act, 1961, A total of 70-18 acres of land in various survey numbers has been approved for the purchase of a hospital and research centre.
